8th annual NCAA March Madness Final 4 Pool  
The 2003 year NCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball Championship begins on Thursday March 20th.
Entry Fee : $10 ($7 U.S. for those south of the border) 

Prize structure = 65% 1st place, 25% 2nd place, 10% 3rd overall.  
There were 25 entrants last year with first place  worth $162 Cdn.
Entry deadline : Noon EST (9 am PST) on Thursday March 20th. (no extensions/exceptions) 
How to enter : 
1) Print off the NCAA Brackets (there are 4 brackets of 16 teams) from 
one of the many websites/papers. (suggestions : usatoday.com, cnnsi.com) 
2) Complete the bracket all the way through, clearly indicating your 
overall champion.   
3) Fax/ mail your completed NCAA bracket with your name and contact 
number/email address clearly marked to : 604-527-3636 (attn Dave) or 
mail your entry to the address below by Thursday March 20th. 
4) mail a cheque for the entry fee to :

How is the pool scored : 
1st round games (rd. of 64) - 2 points for each correct win. 
2nd round games (rd of 32) - 4 points for each correct win. 
3rd round games (Sweet 16) - 6 points for each correct win. 
4th round games (Final 8) - 8 points for each correct win. 
Final Four games - 10 points for each correct win. 
Championship game - 14 points for correctly picking the winner. 

BONUS POINTS FOR UPSETS : 
To encourage picking underdogs you are rewarded for correctly picking an underdog beating a favored (lower seeded) team with one bonus point for each point difference in seeding.i.e. If #10 beat a #7 in the first round you would get 3 bonus points.(in addition to the 2 points for a first rd win). If you correctly pick a #15 to beat a #2 seed you would receive 13 bonus points. 
Important note - The bonus point rule carries on throughout the tourney including the championship game.
